Toyota New Zealand has announced Hilux is back on track after last year's devastating Thai floods, with improved nationwide stock of the country's top selling light truck.
Toyota will be showcasing the Hilux at National Fieldays on 13 -16 June at Mystery Creek Events Centre in Hamilton with special Fieldays deals running throughout May and June.
Steve Prangnell, Toyota's General Manager Sales and Operations, said: "We are excited that Hilux is well and truly back, as we are sure our customers will be."
"We experienced a dramatic shortage of stock last year following supply issues from the Thailand floods and Japan earthquake and tsunami, but this has now improved and vehicles are available again.
"Customers have been incredibly understanding about the supply issues and we are grateful for the loyalty they have shown," said Mr Prangnell. "We are especially glad Hilux is now available for our rural customers visiting Fieldays."
"Hilux is a mainstay of heartland New Zealand and has been a Kiwi workhorse from the late 1970s right up to the re-designed 2012 version."
Hilux is the segment leader in New Zealand and has been for the past 30 years, supported by global sales of 5 million Hilux.
