The new Hilux has the smarts you need, when and where you need them. With Multi-information Display, Bluetooth and Intelligent Manual Transmission available (model dependant) – there is now even more technology on board.
The clever tech starts even before you enter the All New Hilux. A Smart Entry system for SR5 and up means you can leave your key in your pocket. Push the button on the driver’s door handle and you’re in – the Hilux detects the key and unlocks the door. It’s good for when you’ve got your hands full, like at work, or on the weekend with the family in tow.
Once inside, your eye goes to the 7-inch touchscreen audio. It connects to your phone by Bluetooth, so you can select contacts to make calls or listen to your music. And there’s a reversing camera to help avoid hitting anything below your field of vision when parking.
Always know what’s going on
Higher grades have a large Multi-Information Display (MID) located in the centre of the instrument panel. It’s there to check vehicle information at a single glance – like how much further you can drive without filling up.
SR5’s and up have a push button start. Again, you don’t need to take the key out of your pocket. Simple.
More intelligent
i-MT is a new feature for the higher grade manual Hilux. It’s there to help you manage your revs and shift gears more smoothly. It comes in useful off-road or when driving slowly around the city. With i-MT engaged (just hit the button to turn it on), you can lift your foot off the clutch and the vehicle maintains enough revs to avoid stalling. Pretty handy when you’re off road and pointing your Hilux uphill.
Change modes
Hilux has improved fuel efficiency, partly thanks to the ECO mode. ECO mode helps you drive at your most efficient, while POWER mode shows you exactly what the All New Hilux turbo diesel engine can do.
Another top feature is 4WD mode. Found a bit of rugged terrain to cross? To switch from 2WD to 4WD, just reach over and turn the dial, and you’re away.
