Toyota GR Supra – Brake Vacuum Pump recall

Toyota New Zealand is recalling 51 vehicles due to a potential issue affecting the brake vacuum pump in the Toyota GR Supra, manufactured between July 2018 and June 2021.

This is a precautionary measure due to a potential concern affecting the brake vacuum pump, resulting in a loss of brake assist (brake boost). Full mechanical braking (without assist) is not affected and remains available. Affected vehicles will be repaired by the installation of a software improvement.

The repair will be completed free of charge by Toyota stores and will take approximately one hour.

Toyota New Zealand will contact owners of the vehicles by letter in due course.
