Small Business Driver: Quantum Design
Premium quality, custom-made jewellery boutique Quantum Design is a locally owned family business, operating out of Tauranga by husband and wife team Ross and Rebecca, with the assistance of Kelly and Lex. A seasoned professional who is passionate about his craft, Ross has been in the business of manufacturing and repairing jewellery for over 25 years.
Quantum Design specialise in custom made diamond engagement rings, remodelling work, and restoring estate pieces back to their former glory. They love nothing more than helping Kiwis get a unique, individual item, made in New Zealand – not mass produced overseas. Their Mt Maunganui showroom stocks a range of rings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants and earrings, as well as offering a jewellery repair service.
Since the Covid-19 lockdown, Quantum Design have found that several of their trade stores, some of whom they have worked with for 20 years, have started pulling work back to their in-house jewellers. Receiving a media advertising package through Toyota’s Small Business Driver initiative has allowed Quantum Design to advertise their business, exposing their expertise to an audience they otherwise would not have had the cashflow to reach.
Quantum Design also received a Toyota Highlander as a part the Small Business Driver initiative, primarily using it to stay in touch with their trade customers – something that a reliable vehicle is essential for. Ross’ Father and Rebecca are in charge of the majority of these visits, and have thoroughly enjoyed driving the Highlander around the North Island to make them possible.
