Toyota New Zealand is excited to announce the opening of the 17th annual Dream Car Art Contest, inviting children from across Aotearoa New Zealand to let their creativity soar and envision the future of mobility through art.
The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest encourages children to explore their wildest and most imaginative ideas for the future of mobility and sustainability by creating visually captivating and inspiring art. From flying cars with zero emissions to hoverboards and space buggies for adventures on moons and planets, this competition opens the door to endless possibilities.
Andrew Davis, Toyota New Zealand Vice President, expressed his excitement about the Dream Car Art Contest.
"The future of mobility is limited only by our imaginations. Through this contest, we want to inspire the young minds of the nation to dream big and envision a world where anything is possible. Toyota is committed to innovation and sustainability, and we can't wait to see the incredible ideas these young artists come up with,” Davis says.
From 2nd October until 30th November, children between the ages of 7-15 years old are invited to participate by submitting their Dream Car artwork and entry form via email to dreamcar@toyota.co.nz.
Entries will be judged in three age categories, 7 years old or under, 8–11-year-olds, and 12-15 year olds; by local judges and Toyota Brand Guardians Dame Lisa Carrington, Dr Michelle Dickinson, and David Liti.
Each age category will have a chance to win an Apple iPad, giving young artists an opportunity to further explore their creative potential. Additionally, the top three entries from each category will be entered as representatives of Aotearoa New Zealand in the Toyota global contest.
