TNZ Executive Leadership Team (L-R) – Albertus Mulder, Michelle Povey, Mark Young, Tatsuya Ishikawa (CEO), Andrew Davis and Susanne Hardy.

Toyota New Zealand (TNZ) is pleased to announce key leadership changes as part of its ongoing commitment to innovation and strategic growth.

Tatsuya Ishikawa has been permanently appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), leading Toyota New Zealand into its next chapter with a focus on delivering sustainable mobility solutions and exceptional customer experiences.

Toyota New Zealand Board Chair, Akitoshi Takemura, says “Given how well Ishikawa has performed in the Acting role, along with his connections to Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and the global Toyota family, this was a natural appointment.”

Further strengthening the leadership team, Mark Young and Andrew (Drew) Davis have been appointed to the Toyota New Zealand Board as Directors. Both bring extensive experience and deep industry knowledge to their new governance roles.

All three roles were made effective as of the most recent Toyota New Zealand Board meeting on 26 March 2025.

In addition to their board appointments:

  • Mark Young has been named Chief Risk and Value Chain Officer, responsible for overseeing risk management and optimising Toyota’s value chain operations.
  • Andrew (Drew) Davis has been named Chief Strategic Officer, shaping the company’s long-term strategic direction.

These appointments reflect TNZ’s ongoing dedication to strong leadership, innovation, and delivering value to its customers and stakeholders. Ishikawa will focus on bringing the global perspective and TMC needs to TNZ, with Mark and Andrew driving strategies into the business and network locally.

The trio are ably supported by the rest of the TNZ Executive Leadership Team:

  • Susanne Hardy – Assistant Vice President – Marketing, Sustainability and Technology.
  • Michelle Povey – Assistant Vice President – After Sales Operations.
  • Albertus Mulder – Assistant Vice President – Corporate and Product Planning.
