More Power and Better Efficiency
Thanks to its Euro 5 four-cylinder 2.8-litre 1GD turbo diesel engine with Stop & Start function, the Hiace offers seamless on-road performance across the range.
The Hiace ZR 2-seat manual van's highly efficient common-rail turbocharged engine and six-speed intelligent manual transmission delivers 130 kilowatts of power, and 420 Newton metres of torque.

Toyota engineers have designed a new independent MacPherson-type front suspension for the Hiace ZR 2-seat manual to provide drivers with excellent steering feel, as well as consistent handling, and stability on the road, while passengers will notice higher levels of ride comfort and much less road noise.

Effective Load Space
The Hiace ZR 2-seat manual offers 6.2 cubic metres of cargo carrying capacity. The load floor length is 2745mm, load width is 1775mm and the load height is 1315mm.
The Hiace ZR 2-seat manual will comfortably accommodate Australian, European, and ISO max-sized pallets in the rear cargo area and these will fit between the rear wheel arches. The cargo area is also designed to allow the easy fitting of racking or other modification, and it provides six tie down points on the floor.
The ZR 2-seat manual is the towing champion of the Hiace range. It can tow up to 1,900kg of cargo using a braked trailer, and it has a maximum tow ball download capability of 190kg.
Creating a Safer Mobile Workplace
Toyota Safety Sense is fitted as standard across the Hiace range, and it features the Pre-Collision system with Autonomous Emergency Braking (PCS with AEB), as well as vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle detection functions. Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with brake control will help the driver maintain lane discipline, while Road Sign Assist (RSA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB) allow you to focus on the road ahead.
Trailer sway control (TSC) is also fitted as standard to all Hiace models; and provides you with higher levels of safety and confidence when taking to the road with a loaded trailer hitched to the vehicle.
The Hiace ZR 2-seat manual has a 7-airbag system including driver and passenger front airbags, seat side airbags, driver’s knee airbag, and front curtain shield airbags.
Easier Parking and Safer Manoeuvring
Larger commercial vehicles undoubtedly suffer a few panel bumps and bruises in their everyday working life, but Toyota has gone to great lengths to mitigate parking damage when manoeuvring the Hiace ZR 2-seat manual in narrow streets and loading bays.
Each Hiace is fitted as standard with parking sensors in the front and rear bumpers, a Blind Spot Monitoring system (BSM), a reversing camera, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) which will alert you about oncoming traffic when trying to reverse the vehicle from a driveway or a building entrance.
The Hiace ZR 2-seat manual is also equipped with power folding mirrors, to prevent possible damage when you are parking the vehicle in narrow streets or when you are manoeuvring inside a building.
