Smooth Operator
Every working day and every delivery job are different but no matter how lightly or heavily laden, the Hiace ZR half panel van promises consistent handling and stability as well as ride comfort even when the number of occupants or the amount of load changes.
Toyota engineers have designed an independent MacPherson-type front suspension for the Hiace ZR half panel van to provide drivers with excellent steering feel, as well as consistent handling, and stability on the road, while passengers will notice higher levels of ride comfort and much less road noise.
A rear leaf suspension for the Hiace ZR half panel van also minimises vibration and contributes to the smoother ride quality but without losing any of the vehicles famed load-carrying capability.
More Power and Better Efficiency
Thanks to its Euro 5 four-cylinder 2.8-litre 1GD turbo diesel engine with Stop & Start function, the Hiace offers seamless on-road performance across the range.
The Hiace ZR half panel van’s highly efficient common-rail turbocharged engine and six-speed automatic transmission delivers 130 kilowatts of power, and 450 Newton metres of torque.
Creating a Safer Mobile Workplace
Drivers like you are spending longer hours on the road moving from job to job, so Toyota has created the Hiace to meet the demand for safer mobile workplaces. Toyota Safety Sense is fitted as standard across the Hiace range, and it features the Pre-Collision System with Autonomous Emergency Braking (PCS with AEB), as well as vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle detection functions. Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with brake control will help the driver maintain lane discipline, while Road Sign Assist (RSA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB) allow you to focus on the road ahead.
Trailer Sway Control (TSC) is also fitted as standard to all Hiace models; and provides you with higher levels of safety and confidence when taking to the road with a loaded trailer hitched to the vehicle.
The Hiace ZR half panel van has a 9-airbag system including driver and passenger front airbags, front seat side airbags, driver’s knee airbag, front curtain shield airbags, and 2nd row rear curtain shield airbags.
Easier Parking and Safer Manoeuvring
Larger commercial vehicles undoubtedly suffer a few panel bumps and bruises in their everyday working life, but Toyota has gone to great lengths to mitigate parking damage when manoeuvring the Hiace ZR half panel van in narrow streets and loading bays.
Each Hiace is fitted as standard with parking sensors in the front and rear bumpers, a Blind Spot Monitoring system (BSM), a reversing camera, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) which will alert you about oncoming traffic when trying to reverse the vehicle from a driveway or a building entrance.
The Hiace ZR half panel van is also equipped with power folding mirrors, to prevent possible damage when you are parking the vehicle in narrow streets or when you are manoeuvring inside a building.
