North Shore Toyota – Service

We specialise in maintaining and repairing Toyota vehicles, and our technicians are trained extensively by Toyota, possessing in-depth knowledge of the latest tools and techniques to address any issues efficiently. By using only Toyota Genuine parts, we ensure that every service maintains the performance and reliability of your vehicle.

Regular servicing at our Toyota service centre not only keeps your car running smoothly and safely but also offers the reassurance that it's being handled by professionals who know your vehicle inside and out.

Together with Bridgestone Target Road, North Shore Toyota Service provides a convenient one-stop shop for all your service, maintenance, and tyre needs. Located just 2 minutes from the Tristram Rd off-ramp, our friendly team is ready to greet you upon arrival. We’ll discuss the work needed, and with our fixed pricing menu, you’ll enjoy complete transparency with no surprises, making budgeting straightforward and stress-free.

Why should I service my car with Toyota?

Regular servicing of your car will help to extend engine life, reduce fuel consumption, increase the safety of your vehicle, prevent the wearing of moving parts, maintain road worthiness, and improve resale value.

Just because your car has a warrant of fitness (WOF), that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need a service. They are two very different things. A WOF is a compliance check that certifies that your vehicle has passed a compulsory periodic inspection of safety and roadworthiness. A service is the maintenance of your car and helps to identify small problems that could turn into bigger ones down the road. Find out more here.

What to expect

On arrival, we will meet you at the designated drop-off zone and talk you through the service process, what will be done, and the time it will take. We tell you upfront how much a service will cost. We walk you through what repairs your car may need and the price you can expect to pay. Should anything unexpected be found, we will call you to discuss it before proceeding with any other work.

While you wait

We’ve designed every detail to make your experience as comfortable and convenient as possible. When you drop off your car for a service, you have the choice to relax in our air-conditioned lounge, where you can enjoy a complimentary Nespresso coffee, log into our high-speed Wi-Fi to catch up on work, or simply surf the web. If you prefer to keep moving, just book one of our loan cars, and we’ll have you back on the road in no time. Plus, should there be any unexpected delays in getting your vehicle ready, we’ll keep you informed well in advance so you’re never left in the lurch.

How often do Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) need maintenance?

Thanks to regenerative braking technology, which reduces wear on items like brake pads, the maintenance costs of hybrid electric vehicles are lower than those of conventional petrol vehicles.
Some costly items, like the clutch, alternator, and starter motor, have been completely removed, which further reduces the potential for unexpected repair or maintenance.

Is a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) hard to maintain?

No. Most maintenance work on petrol vehicles involves the engine and its components. A BEV has fewer components and doesn’t produce emissions like an internal combustion engine, which results in an easier and cheaper maintenance process.

Frequently asked questions

Do you service other makes and models?

We sure do. As qualified technicians, we take pride in offering top-notch care for all makes and models of vehicles. Whether you drive a sleek sports car, a dependable sedan, a rugged SUV, or a versatile truck, our skilled technicians are equipped with the expertise and tools to handle any maintenance or repair needs you might have.

Do you service older cars or just new ones?

From routine maintenance to intricate repairs, we understand that every car, young or old, has unique requirements. Whether you’re driving a brand-new model or a cherished classic, our experienced technicians provide the same level of care and expertise.

What happens if my car needs additional work from the service?

During your vehicle’s service, it’s possible we might uncover issues due to wear and tear or age that you weren’t expecting. Rest assured, if we identify any concerns, we will promptly inform you and clearly outline which repairs are urgent and need immediate attention and which can be scheduled for a later date. Our priority is to ensure you have all the information needed to make informed decisions about your car’s care. No additional work will be carried out without your explicit approval, so you can trust that every repair and maintenance decision is made with your consent and in your best interest.

How long will my service take?

The time required for a car service can vary depending on several factors, including the number of kilometres your vehicle has travelled and the duration since your last service. Generally, vehicles with higher mileage or longer intervals between services may need more extensive checks and repairs, which can extend the service time. Conversely, routine services for vehicles with lower mileage or a more recent service history might be completed more quickly. Our team will assess your vehicle’s specific needs and provide you with an estimated service duration, ensuring you have a clear understanding of the process and can plan accordingly.

Do you do WOF checks and repairs?

Yes, we offer Warrant of Fitness (WOF) checks along with a wide range of repairs and maintenance services. Our team is fully equipped to handle the thorough inspections required for WOF certification to ensure your vehicle meets all safety and regulatory standards. In addition, we provide comprehensive repair and maintenance services, including routine servicing, diagnostics, and more complex repairs, to keep your car in optimal condition. Whether it’s a WOF check or any other vehicle care need, we’re here to provide reliable and expert service.

What if I need tyres?

We believe in supporting local, and our store is fortunate enough to be affiliated with Bridgestone and can include any service provided by Bridgestone as part of your service or WOF.

Do you have loan vehicles?

We offer loan cars to keep you on the move while your vehicle is in for service, ensuring minimal disruption to your day. However, our loan cars are often in high demand, so we recommend booking at least 2-3 weeks in advance to increase your chances of securing one. By planning ahead, you’ll have a better opportunity to reserve a loan car that suits your needs and ensures a smooth, hassle-free experience while your vehicle is being serviced.
