Good Neighbour

For several years Pacific Toyota has been a supporter of Good Neighbour and it’s a relationship we hold dear to our hearts. Just like us, Good Neighbour believes in initiatives that benefit the environment and the wellbeing of those in our community. Their mission is to provide practical opportunities for people to “give back” and support one another, so that lives and neighbourhoods in our community can be transformed.

The Hits Beach Patrol

Throughout summer from December through to February, Pacific Toyota supports the The Hits Bay of Plenty crew who hit the sand with their ‘Beach Patrol’ summer initiative. The Hits crew give away free goodies including THOUSANDS of dollars in Tauranga Crossing Vouchers, exclusive summer merch from The Hits like Bucket Hats, Sunscreen, and much more. It has always been well-received by locals and holiday makers over summer who have been absolutely stoked to received freebies and we are also stoked to be a part of it.

Cram the Van

For the 5th year running, Pacific Toyota has teamed up with Radio 1XX for Cram the Van 2023. The 1XX team visited different locations across the Eastern Bay of Plenty from the 20th November until 18th December collecting donations for a range of local charities - helping make Christmas a little bit easier during a very tough year for many. This year was such a great success, that not only was the Pacific Toyota Hiace Van absolutely crammed but so was a Toyota Fortuner, a Toyota C-HR and a Toyota Yaris Cross! Hundreds of toys, treats, essentials and food items were greatly received by Whakatane SPCA, Women’s Refuge, Salvation Army and The Foodbank.

Christmas Movie in the Park

With a focus on community and giving back, we’re excited to have Pacific Toyota’s (alongside The Hits Bay of Plenty) Christmas Movie in the Park. This event is now 2 years old and is growing by the year. This is a free community event with the option to donate non-perishable food items which are then distributed to the Tauranga Foodbank to help families in need, especially in the lead up to Christmas.

AIMS Games

The Zespri AIMS Games is Australasia’s largest junior sporting event, held annually in Tauranga, New Zealand. Since its inception in 2004, the Zespri AIMS Games have grown from 760 competitors representing 17 schools and four sporting codes, to the 2023 tournament which had 11,733 competitors, representing 373 schools and 25 sporting codes. Celebrating diversity, the Games provides an opportunity for adolescents from all demographics and education contexts to compete in sporting competitions, to meet others from outside their normal peer group, and to learn and build on their social interaction skills. Pacific Toyota is proud to support the Zespri AIMS Games each year with vehicles for the team of organisers working hard behind the scenes.
