Rump Draws Marble Number Eight

All smiles: He might have drawn the ’8′ marble for Sunday morning’s race but victory in the first race at Highlands Motorsport Park ensured Estonian driver Martin Rump wore a smile as he did so.

He starts from position 8 this morning; Brazilian Gustavo Lima starts off pole. The track is wet but drying.

Rump, who is a TRS rookie and leads the series, will return to the front row of the grid for the afternoon’s feature race, the Denny Hulme Memorial Cup.

The first TRS race for Sunday starts at 11.15 am New Zealand Daylight Saving Time. The feature race over 20 laps this afternoon starts at 3:20pm.
