Graduates climb the podium in Bahrain
Congratulations today to 2023 New Zealand Grand Prix winner Laurens van Hoepen and 2024 Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship Tasman Cup Winner and frontrunner Christian Mansell.
Both climbed the podium over the weekend as the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship got underway at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Dutch ace Laurens led the sprint race on his debut for ART Grand Prix and in a great race eventually came home to take second place behind Brit Arvid Lindblad.
Australia’s Mansell saved his best for the longer feature race, moving through the leading runners and challenging eventual race winner Luke Browning for the lead before ultimately having to be satisfied with the runner-up spot.
The ART team mates however, clearly demonstrated they will be factors in the championship over the course of this season.
This coming weekend there are no fewer than six graduates from CTFROC racing in the Indy NXT opening round of the 2024 at St Petersburg, Florida, and we have our fingers crossed for even more success.
Race winners in NZ – Callum Hedge, Bryce Aron and Louie Foster will face off against Jacob Abel, Caio Collet and Josh Mason in what looks like a very exciting and competitive championship.
