Round 04 | 4-6 March 2022

Pukekohe Park, Auckland

In 2013 Supercars returned to Pukekohe after the Auckland government confirmed improvements to make the circuit more suitable for Supercars. These upgrades included a new chicane on the back straight, more pedestrian bridges and a takeover of the circuit's appearance.

Most importantly, being located around two thirds of the way down the back straight, it requires a rethink in set up priorities. The entry to the new complex offers more than one line and that means it's a great place for passing attempts. It's not an easy spot to pass though given the speed the cars are braking from and the sharp nature of the first corner into the complex. It also needs a very good exit to make the most of the short run down to the hairpin.
