Green Hell the first stop for Toyota 86 Champions on GT4 prize weekend

It’s all go at the Nürburgring as our Toyota 86 Champions settle in for their big weekend behind the wheel of KCMG’s GR Supra GT4 EVO at the the third round of the ADAC GT4 Germany championship.

Champion Brock Gilchrist and top rookie Rylan Gray have been for a seat fitting in the car, met the team and their engineers and have been through key procedures on the car ahead of their first track time.

“Seeing the car for the first time was very cool,” said Brock. “Learning all the controls was good too, so we know how it all works, how the weekend is scheduled and how everything is going to go and that will ensure we are ready for the big test days coming up.”

They have been out getting some circuit time also, enjoying a lap around the long track, the famous and at the same time infamous “Green Hell” and the track left quite an impression on both youngsters.

“It was great to take it all in,” explained Rylan afterwards. “And you get to do that for a good fifteen minutes. It’s pretty scary though with a lot of walls and not much room for any errors.”

“It’s a very scary track,” added Brock. “A very long lap and with half damp and half dry it was very difficult to adjust to the conditions. But what an awesome track to drive and it was very cool to be able to do a lap. I definitely want to do a few more laps for sure!”

Tomorrow the boys will be settling in with the team as they set up in the pits and will do a track walk and go through data with their engineers.
