Brooklyn Horan

Toyota GAZOO Racing New Zealand, Toyota New Zealand and our close knit racing community in the Toyota 86 Championship were deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Brooklyn Horan at the weekend.

Brooklyn was an outstanding young talent with a very bright future in motorsport.  His time competing in the Toyota 86 Championship was notable not only because of his warm and friendly personality in the paddock but also because of his skill and speed on the track.

Brooklyn tried out the Toyota 86 Championship last season, retained his rookie status for this season and was immediately impressive. In recent races his speed and racecraft were on show for everyone to see and we all knew he would be racing for wins in the very near future.

Our thoughts and our deepest and heartfelt condolences are with Brooklyn’s family and many, many friends in both the rallying and circuit racing communities and, of course, with the family and friends of his mate and co-driver Tyson Jemmett.

We will miss you Brooklyn.
